Duties

  • Lead field resource on instrument & Method Installation of MedTest products & supplies

  • Responsible to uncover, promote, convert method additions and reagent conversions

  • On site Customer Training and ongoing Account Management

  • Provide Remote Phone & Internet based support of Customer Base

  • Document Complaint Handling & Field Activity through Quality System

  • Perform product demonstrations to prospective customers

  • Align with strategic direction of the support organization to maximize retention and profitability

  • Work closely with sales and customer support organizations

Candidate

  • Minimum or equivalent certification, of an MT, MLT, or CLS

  • Minimum 3-5 years of diagnostic laboratory or vendor experience

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills required

  • Excellent customer service and teamwork skills required

  • Aptitude and skills to capitalize on method addition opportunities

  • Aptitude and skills to proactively and reactively manage customer conflict

  • Strong clinical chemistry background desired

  • Position is based out of Canton, MI headquarters and requires approximately 50% travel

  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

  • Firm knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

(Canton, Michigan)  MedTest announces the commercial launch of their Direct Hemoglobin A1c, Homocysteine, and Lipoprotein (a) reagents for the Mindray BS-480 Chemistry Analyzer for use in clinical laboratories in the United States and Canada.  The Mindray BS-480 Analyzer meets the testing needs of mid-volume laboratories, while offering state-of-the-art features commonly found on large volume analyzers.

MedTest is the exclusive US distributor of the Mindray BS-480 Chemistry Analyzer, which is part of the MedTest 480 Ensemble that includes the manufacturing and distribution of reagents, calibrators, and quality control products for the general chemistry and drugs of abuse testing markets.  The full menu includes drugs of abuse reagents for urine drug screening, and a full menu of chemistry tests including specialty tests like Hemoglobin A1c and Lipoprotein (a).  The new reagents are manufactured specifically for the Mindray BS-480 Analyzer and are provided in barcoded containers for ease of use.

Mindray and MedTest announce FDA 510(k) Clearance for the BC-3600 Hematology Analyzer

(Mahwah, New Jersey & Canton, Michigan) Mindray announced today that it has received 510(k) clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to market and sell the new Mindray BC-3600 Auto Hematology Analyzer. The Mindray BC-3600 Analyzer meets the testing needs of small and mid-volume hematology laboratories while offering stateof-the-art features commonly found on large volume analyzers.

The BC-3600 Hematology Analyzer features closed-tube sampling via a single push button. The large 10.4 inch color touchscreen allows maximum visibility from all angles. Hemoglobin analysis is performed using cyanide-free reagents. The analyzer processes up to 60 samples per hour and stores up to 40,000 results with histograms. The barcode reader and optional LIS connectivity enables seamless sample data transmission. Nearly all scheduled maintenance procedures are
automated by touch buttons. The intuitive software enhances workflow efficiency and offers the operator a pleasant user experience.
